Tribotec contributes to a sustainable society

In our role as a distributor of chemicals, we at Tribotec have a great responsibility, especially when it comes to the impact on people's health and the environment, and therefore sustainability work is an obvious part of our everyday life. Based on the UN's 17 sustainability goals, Tribotec has selected some focus areas that we believe are the basis for our continuous sustainability work.

Goal 3: health and well-being

With particular focus on sub-goal 3.9 REDUCE THE NUMBER OF ILLNESS AND DEATH DUE TO HARMFUL CHEMICALS AND POLLUTION

Tribotec's overarching goal is to offer our customers products with a minimal impact on health and the environment, which is increasingly demanded by our customers. By reviewing all new chemicals that are purchased, we oversee classification and labeling based on current REACH and CLP criteria and select chemicals that are carcinogenic, reproductively disruptive and mutagenic. Our goal is to continue phasing out dangerous chemicals from our range in favor of safer alternatives, without compromising on quality.

Goal 8: decent working conditions and economic growth

With particular focus on sub-goal 8.4 IMPROVE RESOURCE EFFICIENCY IN CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION

Through broad knowledge and technical support, we help our customers extend the durability of their products through corrosion protection and maintenance. In this way, we save the earth's resources together and extend the life cycle of the products and reduce expensive costs for our customers. To the greatest extent possible, we work with sustainable transport chains together with our suppliers and customers by planning purchases, deliveries and business trips so that our environmental impact from transport is minimized.

With particular focus on sub-goal 12.4 RESPONSIBLE HANDLING OF CHEMICALS AND WASTE

At Tribotec, we have extensive experience in safe chemical handling and waste and know the importance of responsible handling of hazardous substances to prevent emissions to our local environment. We work with the precautionary principle rather than risking emissions and putting ourselves and our customers at risk. We also offer a wide range of environmentally friendly products from our "green line" series, for example non-labelling adhesives, anti-corrosion plastic containing recycled plastic, environmentally smart packaging and products based on renewable resources (such as vegetable oils and soybeans), instead of petroleum-based products . We also hold product training in safe chemical handling to minimize the risk of developing allergies in our customers.
