The vehicle industry is faced with difficult challenges when rust and corrosion must be combated both in terms of costs and environmental aspects. To facilitate the protection of components during manufacture, chemists at Cortec Laboratories have developed advanced products for the protection of transmission parts and other components during manufacture, storage and transport. BioCorr ATF is proof of this. BioCorr ATF corrosion protection is an emulsion that combines film-forming additives with VpCI corrosion protection (vci). The product provides protection for most metals and is an excellent environmental choice for petroleum-based products. BioCorr ATF provides indoor protection for up to 2 years, and can be used as transport protection in combination with VpCI (vci) packaging material.
Dry - invisible protective film
Unlike anti-corrosion oils, BioCorr ATF corrosion protection provides a dry film on the surface that is largely invisible. This feature provides a clean work environment around the workstation and for the fitters. In addition to this, the product is biodegradable, which eliminates costly destruction, which is common when other conventional oil-based products are used.
The ultra-thin, protective layer of BioCorr ATF does not change tolerances, making robot assembly possible without first cleaning the components. It is also compatible with engine and gearbox oils and does not affect non-metallic gaskets, seals, plastics or rubber. The product meets the ASTM D 1748 standard.
