Cortec VCI packaging replaces metal and wooden packaging

Are you tired of your products being attacked by rust and broken wooden packaging and rusty metal racks? You are not alone and there is a simple solution to the problem and the technology is already used today by a large number of users worldwide. The solution is to use a tough, durable shrink film. Metal parts packaged in MilCorr® or VpCI®-126 high-performance films also provide continuous protection against salty air and moist surroundings, humidity and aggressive industrial environments which in turn lead to corrosion attack.

The VpCI® (corrosion protection) evaporates and condenses on the metal surface in the confined space, reaching and coating all parts, even the most difficult to reach parts

This provides complete protection of the products both during storage and during short transports and tougher transports such as e.g. sea freight.

These "high-tech" covers and hoods replace conventional corrosion protection such as oils and drying agents.

All degreasing and cleaning that normally needs to be done is now eliminated, which leads to major cost and environmental savings.

Equipment protected with MilCorr® and VpCI®-126 Shrink Film can be used immediately without cleaning and degreasing. The products are free of amines, nitrites, phosphates, halogens and other toxic components.

VCI packaging replaces metal and wooden packaging - provides good protection against strong winds, rain, snow, ice and sandstorms.

This type of packaging is a very economical option as protection, which at the same time makes it easy for customs personnel to check the goods without damaging the packaging. Read more about our products here.
If you want to know more about how the corrosion protection itself works, you can read more here.

Cortec®'s MilCorr® VpCI® shrink film and VpCI-126® high performance films meet military specifications MIL-B-22019D, NACE Standard RP0487-2000 and are RoHS compliant.
