Tribotec offers a very fast curing silicone circuit board coating - Momentive ECC 3050S.
The product is a moisture-curing silicone varnish which, at normal room temperature, cures as quickly as today's "fast" varnishes (about 30 minutes), but for ECC 3050S the curing process can be speeded up considerably by raising the temperature. The lacquer can be fully cured in 2 minutes.
The product has UL approval and a UV indicator and is also a good and work environment-friendly alternative to the solvent-based varnishes available on the market.

Selectively coating printed circuit boards with a protective coating is a fast and economical method for large production runs. It is also a good method if moulding is too expensive or too heavy. A good PCB coating should have low viscosity, good spreading properties and perfect adhesion to the substrate. Silicone-based varnishes fulfil all these requirements. Silicone circuit board coatings have also been shown in tests to provide better protection against corrosion caused by condensation, among other things, than conventional coatings, especially in an environment rich in salt water.
