What is rust protection?

Rust occurs when metal oxidizes, i.e. comes into contact with oxygen. The metal weakens and takes on a reddish-brown color. Rust protection in the form of surface treatment, VCI plastic or VCI paper protects metal parts and equipment from being affected by rust.
