Due to MPM's reconstruction, under Chapter 11, of its US operations, we would like to provide the following information to our silicone customers.
- This reconstruction applies only to Momentive Performance Materials Inc. in the United States. MPM in the US has found itself in this situation due to continued weak demand in some markets and an overcapacity in the silicone market.
- As an importer, we have been guaranteed "Business as usual", i.e. production continues as usual and thus also the deliveries of silicone products.
- Chapter 11 is a process that helps the company continue business as usual during the reconstruction.
