Momentive's ECC3011 and ECC3051S new PCB varnishes use a unique formulation that can help prevent the occurrence of corrosion on critical PCB components and surfaces.

These new materials dispel the common belief that silicones, due to their higher gas permeability, have poorer corrosion prevention properties. In a test conducted by Momentive, in accordance with the IEC standard for the corrosion protection of printed circuit boards, Momentive's new silicone formulations outperformed other types of lacquers based on acrylic, polyurethane, polyolefin and other competing silicone formulations.

Key features and typical benefits:

  • Quickly forms a dry "tack free" surface
  • Solvent-free formulation (100% solid content)
  • Contains UV indicator to facilitate inspection under black light
  • Continuous operating temperature range of -40 to + 150 ° C

Applicable standards

Flame retardant: UL94V-0 certified (File No. E135148)

Salt spray performance tested in accordance with IEC60068-2-52 Severity 5

Mixed gas corrosion performance tested in accordance with IEC60068-2-60 Method 4

Tested in accordance with IPC-CC-830B / MIL-I-46058C
