Conformal coating – Protect your circuit boards from aggressive media

Contact Us

Conformal coating is used to protect the micro environment around the circuit board and its components. A thin layer is applied to protect from aggressive media such as heat, chemicals, humidity, salts, or any other environment that can damage the function of a circuit board.

Cortec's new conformal coating ElectriCorr VpCI 286 is acrylic-based, non-electrically conductive and combines a very strong moisture protection with Cortec's patented vci rust protection inhibitor (VpCI technology). The Vci coating forms a barrier and protects the components on the circuit board against harsh treatment during installation and reduces stress from mechanical and thermal influences.

ElectriCorr is 1-component, which makes it easier to use than 2-component coatings, as expensive mixing equipment and mixer systems are not needed.

ElectriCorr contains a fluorescence that allows you to see where the coating is when the circuit board is illuminated with UV light.

Product features:

  • Vibration resistant
  • Very good insulating ability
  • Continuous corrosion protection
  • Dries quickly
  • Free from organic solvents
  • Available in bulk as well as aerosol packaging.

ElectriCorr meets Mil-I-46058C, clause 3.10 / 3.11 as well as the requirements of RoHS and REACH.
