Rust protection for concrete

Migratory corrosion inhibitors, MCI, are developed to protect the reinforcement in concrete structures. This concrete corrosion inhibitor can be added directly to the concrete mix in new construction or used in the restoration of existing buildings/structures. Concrete with added MCI products is cast and cured in the same way as untreated concrete. MCI migrates through the concrete and is attracted to the embedded reinforcing bars, bonding to them and forming a protective MCI layer. The MCI layer slows down the chemical reaction between chlorides and metal, thus preventing corrosion. For more information on Cortec MCI products and applications.

MCI products provide powerful protection against the damaging effects of road salt on bridges and other infrastructure, the effects of salt-saturated air on coastal facilities and buildings, and the degrading effects of acid rain.
