Corrosion in waterborne systems is a common problem that means increased maintenance costs and a lot of work in connection with the preservation or start-up of the systems after standstill. Tanks, valves and piping systems are often pressure tested and tested with water-based media, which can cause problems with corrosion that need to be addressed before the systems can be put into use.
