Corrosion in waterborne systems is a common problem that leads to increased maintenance costs and a lot of work associated with preservation or start-up of the systems after shutdown. Often tanks, valves and pipework are pressurised and tested with water-based media which can cause corrosion problems that need to be addressed before the systems can be put into service.
Tribotec's corrosion protection range includes products for long-term corrosion protection and preservation of closed cooling systems using fresh water, steam and glycol, for corrosion protection during boiler storage and for hydrostatic testing. The products prevent both corrosion and scale formation and provide both longer life and reduced maintenance of your system, which means reduced costs for you. In most cases, the corrosion protection does not need to be removed before starting up the system after storage/standstill.
A combination of volatile corrosion inhibitors, contact inhibitors, anti-limescale agents and protection against microbial growth provides optimal protection for your system.
