Cortec VCI powder provides highly effective, dry protection of metal surfaces in confined spaces. The rust inhibitor vaporises and coats all exposed metal surfaces down to the smallest porosity.
Product characteristics

- If necessary, remove the VCI powder with compressed air or running water.
- VpCI 609 Protects only ferrous metals. If copper is present in the metal, VpCI 308 should be used.
Application method
Apply the powder by spraying, fogging or sprinkling. After application, cover, seal or caulk the protected confined space. Fogging is best done with a low pressure air valve and sandblasting equipment. Large conventional sandblasting equipment can also be used.

How VpCI works®
VpCI®inhibitor is transported via a vapour phase (see picture) to all surfaces of the metal to be protected. As long as there is enough inhibitor in the vapour phase around the metal to maintain a condensed phase on the surface, adequate protection is achieved. The vapour phase only acts as a transport aid from the source to the metal surface where it builds up a molecule-thick layer of protection and thus stops the attack. All surfaces, including cracks, crevices and other inaccessible areas, are fully protected with VpCI®. 25 years of use and testing guarantee a reliable result.

Now there's no need for surface preparation before application and cleaning during unpacking. Just unpack and you're done. Saves time and labour and reduces material consumption.
