Rustproof packaging with VCI for storage and transport
Metal to be packed, shipped or stored is often challenged by moisture, salty environments or temperature changes. Using packaging with VCI containing corrosion inhibitors creates an active, protective atmosphere around the product, keeping it clean, dry and ready for immediate use without the need for cleaning.
Customised protection for harsh environments
We provide a wide range of packaging products customised for everything from demanding sea transport to long-term outdoor storage. The level of protection required depends on the aggressiveness of the environment (e.g. salinity or humidity) and how long the metal needs to be protected during transport or storage.
Depending on the application and exposure time, we offer several different solutions, such as
- VCI plastic: Flexible and moisture-repellent protection in the form of e.g. hoods, bags or stretch film for all types of machines and components.
- VCI paper: an environmentally friendly and powerful alternative that is ideal for one-piece packaging or as a protective liner.
- VCI-foam: The optimal solution when you need to combine highly concentrated corrosion protection with extra shock absorption for sensitive products.
In extreme conditions, the products can be combined to achieve a higher level of protection.
