Pastes for assembly and bolted joints
When assembling bolted joints and press fits, it is critical to use the right assembly/bolting paste to prevent the surfaces from ”cutting” or suffering from fretting corrosion. A high-quality paste ensures a constant tightening torque and allows components to be disassembled even after a long time in harsh environments with high temperatures or corrosive influences.
- For heavy loads and press fits we recommend in the first place OKS 200, a classic MoS2-based assembly paste that provides an extremely pressure-resistant and permanent lubricating film.
- If the application requires maximum precision and optimised protection against wear in the bolted joints, the OKS 210 the obvious choice thanks to its high purity and ability to minimise friction. At temperatures of 300-350°C and above, the risk of chromium6 in stainless steel, oxygen-free bolted joints is minimised.
- For stainless steel bolted joints and environments where a clean, metal-free lubrication is required OKS 252 an all-purpose, white, high-temperature paste that effectively prevents cold welding and is resistant to both hot water and chemicals.
Both are food approved H1 no pictograms or risk phrases.
