How to choose the right CA glue - effective instant glue

CA - cyanoacrylate adhesive - is also known as instant glue. CA adhesives have many favourable properties. As the name suggests, this type of one-component adhesive has a very fast drying time, but CA adhesives are also solvent-free, and perform equally well in very specific applications as in a wider range of uses. In other words, instant adhesives can bond a wide range of substrates by reacting to small traces of moisture on the material.
CA glue / instant glue has many advantages:
- Excellent mechanical strength - good resistance to both tensile and shear forces.
- Good durability on porous materials like paper, (for example Loxeal 43) even on non-porous materials like metal, plastic and rubber (for example Loxeal 14).
- Good elasticity, (for example Loxeal 34) for hard-to-glue plastic materials,
- Good temperature resistance and good ageing resistance
- Good climate resistance, which includes good resistance to ozone.
CA adhesives are ideal for use on a wide range of materials, including smaller surfaces made of plastic, metal, paper, rubber, wood, glass and cork.
