MCI Rust protection for concrete structures

Migratory Corrosion Inhibitors (MCI) are developed to protect the reinforcement in concrete structures. MCI products can be added directly to the concrete mix in new construction or used in the restoration of existing buildings/structures.

Concrete with added MCI products is cast and cured in the same way as untreated concrete. MCI migrates through the concrete and is attracted to the embedded reinforcing bars, bonding to them and forming a protective MCI layer. The MCI layer slows down the chemical reaction between chlorides and metal, thus preventing corrosion.
