Almost everyone has at some point had a problem with products, details starting to be attacked by rust. In most cases mechanical processing is used to remove rust but there is another way to remove rust and that is with a rust remover.
Cortec VpCI 422 is an environmentally friendly, cost-effective product that works perfectly as an alternative to time-consuming mechanical processing. Cortec 422 is 100% biodegradable, easy to use and applied by spray or dip. After application, the rust remover dissolves the rust which can then be washed away with an alkaline detergent (eg Cortec VpCI 410 series).
The time to dissolve the rust depends on the size/depth of the rust attack. Cortec VpCI 422 works on a variety of materials such as metal, wood, plastic and painted surfaces. Unlike other rust removers, Cortec VpCI 422 is citrus based, making it non-toxic and non-flammable. This means that the product can be used in production processes without, in most cases, affecting the production staff.
The product is approved according to ASTM F-519-05.
