Last week, the Vehicle Components Group organised the annual "Big Supplier Day" at Chalmers. This year's theme was "follow us to new markets". The event was fully booked and the day was filled with interesting seminars from, among others, Scania and AB Volvo's purchasing managers. The trend in the message was clear - join us as a supplier out in the world if you want to grow. And who doesn't want that!
In addition to this, Anders Rune, Chief Economist at Teknikföretagen, released the latest economic barometer, focusing on the automotive industry, and it was positive information he gave. According to the report, we have reached the bottom and the economic trend that has been upwards over the past six months will continue upwards, not at rocket speed, but upwards for another year or so. Positive to hear for us who operate in this market. Anders is a very knowledgeable and inspiring speaker and you can see / hear his entire report here.
Mats Fägerhag, CEO ECVT (China European Vehicle Technology) shared their views on China under the theme "China - The cars new customer market".
