Last week, the Vehicle Components Group carried out the annual "Big Supplier Day" at Chalmers. This year's theme was about "come with us to new markets". The event was fully booked and the day was filled with interesting seminars from, among others, Scania's and AB Volvo's purchasing managers. The trend in the message was clear - join us as a supplier out into the world if you want to grow. And who doesn't want that!
In addition to this, Anders Rune, Chief Economist at Teknikföretagen, released the latest economic barometer, with a focus on the automotive industry, and it was positive information he gave. According to the report, we have reached rock bottom and the economy, which has been on the rise for the past six months, will continue to rise, not at rocket speed, but still upwards for another year or so. Positive to hear for us who operate in this market. Anders is a very knowledgeable and inspiring speaker and you can see/hear his entire report here.
Mats Fägerhag, CEO CEVT (China Europe Vehicle Technology) talked about his view of China within the theme "China - The cars new customer market".
